Two, the Chrome version of an add-on frequently has more work put into the user interface. So if you download a new version of Chrome or install an add-on on one of your devices, when you log in to your Google account in Chrome on another device, the browser will automatically download and install those add-ons or updates. And much like with Windows XP, I know I'm going to need to install Chrome on one of these systems at some point. At work, I still come across a fair amount of Windows 7 machines. As you may know, Google has recently severed support for Google Chrome on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
